DESCRIPTION:
SB-1800 can be used as an exterior construction sealant, for low temperature assembly of snow guards, metal
roof assembly, truck bodies, vans, cars, garbage and refuse trucks,
dumpsters and other vehicle and transportation applications.
SB-1800 is a
one-part, high solids, strong, extremely fast curing, easy to
apply and long-lasting sealant.
It offers excellent
sealing qualities to metal, wood, glass, painted steel, aluminum, bonderized metals, resin board, plywood, flakeboard, foam board,
composition board, FRP, and most plastics and other rigid building
materials.
It has instant water
resistance upon application and is tack-free in 40 to 60 minutes.
SB-1800 does not sag
and is ideal for side panel and overhead applications.
SB-1800 is perfect
for all field applications with an application temperature from -20°F to
+140°F.
For spot-welding,
apply SB-1800 between metal for overlap seals and immediately spot-weld
through the metal and sealant.
SB-1800 has no
shrinkage and thus is excellent for sheet metal assembly.
It also stays
flexible and heat-resistant for years of service.
This saves costly
secondary sealing operations while producing a far better finish.
It reduces sealant
usage by 50% and increases efficiency by over 800%.
INSTALLATION: Interface and surfaces
must be clean, dry and free of dust, dirt, oil, frost, moisture and water
proofing and release agents. All painting should be done before
application. Cut cartridge nozzle for 3/8" hole and puncture inner seal,
apply as desired bead size. Always apply uniform bead and tool immediately
after application to ensure full contact with both sides of the joint
area. Squeeze out should not occur on most overlap seals applied properly.
Sealant starts to skin over in five to ten minutes and dries to the touch
within an hour.
