PRODUCT: ROOF ACCESS HATCH, 96" WIDE x 30" LONG OPENING, GREY HAMMERTONE COLOR POWDER COAT FINISH OVER 14 GAUGE GALVANIZED STEEL, SELF FLASHING BASE. PRICE/EACH. (optional red shown in photo).
APPLICATIONS: Ideal for installations where sevice stairs are used to access the roof and frequent use may be expected. Permits easier movement of people, equipment and materials. Standard in galvanized steel. Aluminum is optional. Hinge is on the LONG side.
CERTIFICATIONS: RHG (galvanized) models include components or materials that are ASTM certified under Specifications A792/A792M-06a; A653/A653M-06a; C726-05; and A36/A36M-05.
CONSTRUCTION / FEATURES:
Construction: RHG (Steel hatch): 14 gauge galvanized steel with 12" high curb and 4" wide flange for securing to roof deck.
Cover: 14 gauge galvanized steel exterior and 22 gauge liner with with a TPE draft-seal gasket door seal. One inch thick insulation liner is built into cover.
Load/Deflection: Steel roof hatch covers have been tested and approved to support a minimum live load of 40 lbs./ft.2 with a maximum deflection of 1/190th of the span, maximum negative load of 50 lbs./ft.2 wind uplift, and 110 mph wind load when cover is in an open position.
Insulation: The curb includes a 1" fiberboard insulation surrounding the base, and 1" fiberglass insulation between the exterior cover and liner.
Hardware: Hardware includes corrosion resistant heavy-duty hinge, heavy gauge automatic hold open arm with red grip, compression-operated shock-absorbing gas cylinder, exterior handle with integral padlock hasp, and interior locking handle with interior padlock hasp.
Finish: RHG (steel hatches): Bonderite®, pre-treated grey hammertone powder coat.
OPTIONAL COLORS: Red, Yellow or other can be ordered with special order. $40 additional plus 7-10 day leadtime.
