DESCRIPTION: Polyguard's Thru Wall Flashings are used in exterior masonry wall systems to deflect water from thru wall penetrations. Applications include spandrel beams, sills, copings, door and window headers and flange flashings. Polyguard Thru Wall Flashing collects water that penetrates inside the exterior wythe and directs it back to the exterior through weepholes. Polyguard has three flashing materials. All are 40 mils in thickness.
Polyguard 400 Thru Wall Flashing has a strong multi layer polyethylene film surface. Polyguard 401 Thru Wall Flashing has a strong multilayer polyethylene film surface, with a tough 1000 denier scrim reinforcement which meets properties of tire cord. Polyguard Aluma-Flash is a UV resistant version of the 400 Thru Wall Flashing. The top protective layer of aluminum foil protects the flashing in any area it is exposed to long term UV. |
