Standard rubber washer thickness is 3/32".
All items are packaged 1000 per poly bag. Available sizes include:

BONDED SEALING WASHER DESIGN:
BONDED SEALING WASHER MATERIALS:
Standard
thickness is 0.065 for Metal backed washers, and 3/32" (0.093") for plain
rubber washers"
EPDM
(Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer) is an excellent, low-cost ozone and
weather resistant elastomer which possesses superior aging characteristics. It
is also extremely effective when application requirements dictate heat
resistance up to 350º F. Use of EPDM in direct contact with petrochemicals is
not recommended. For construction applications where the primary hazards are
ozone ultraviolet radiation and temperature extremes, EPDM is the consistent
elastomer of choice.
NEOPRENE®
(Polychloroprene), one of the earliest and perhaps best known, of the
man-made elastomers is still one of the most versatile facing material for
sealing and cushioning washers. When properly formulated it is highly
resistant to sunlight ozone weathering and aging while enjoying good memory
and elasticity. Although its particular strength lies in its resistance to
petrochemicals and certain other chemical families Neoprene is a generalist -
performing well in a myriad of applications. When direct contact with
petrochemicals is of greater concern than direct U.V., Neoprene will do the
job.
Substrate Backing Materials:
Standard thickness is 20 gauge, others are available by special order
GALVANIZED
STEEL provides excellent strength characteristics and possesses greater
corrosion resistance than a common commercial zinc-plated bolt or screw at the
lowest possible cost.
ALUMINUM Aztec special alloys provide similar longevity and protection
when low-stress or desired deflection requirements exist. For higher stress
applications both strength and corrosion resistance may be attained by
selection of specific alloys such as 5052-H38. Use of an aluminum Master Seal®
also minimizes concerns of galvanic corrosion in certain applications.
STAINLESS STEEL (Austenitic 300 Series or 18-8/A2) combines the optimum
corrosion resistance and lowest cost available in a premium material. Its use
is indicated wherever stainless fasteners are required or when a corrosive
environment would compromise lesser metals.
316 STAINLESS STEEL (Austenitic 300 Series with Molybdenum/A4) provides
the highest corrosion resistance available in standard production materials.
due to its higher cost it is specified only in the highest corrosion marine or
industrial environments.
BONDED SEALING WASHER FEATURES:
Where sealing properties are required, the conical design
directs the flow of the elastomeric portion toward the problem areas. Where
cushioning or vibration presents a problem, our full-face elastomeric material
affords 100% protection.
Features Include: Quality elastomeric compounding to
meet specifications for elasticity, memory, temperature extremes, chemical,
ozone, and sunlight-resistance.
Conical design directs flow of facing materials to form a seal
conforming to both fastener and sealing surface.
Full-face design cushions fragile surfaces and minimizes
vibration.
Inside diameter sizes for #4 diameter screw to 1-1/2” diameter
bolts and corresponding metric range.
Typical Dimensions: Metal Thickness is 20 Gauge / ~
0.030 mils, and rubber thickness is 0.066" nominal. Washer assembly is coined to
created a total thickness of 0.120 to 0.140, depending on washer size (before
torque is applied). Inside diameter of rubber washer is designed to seal tightly
to screw.
BONDED SEALING WASHER INSTALLATION GUIDE:
SEALING IN. . . OR SEALING OUT
When installed in a sealing application, the materials in Sealing Washers
compress against either a flexible or an inflexible surface to permanently
seal in or seal out any operating environment, whether natural or
industrial. Facing materials are engineered to provide optimal resistance to
weathering from ozone, ultraviolet light and/or chemical agents.
CUSHIONING AND VIBRATION CONTROL
As the washer is compressed and fastened against a substrate, the facing
material serves as a permanent cushion. This feature protects the substrate
from installation damage (spinning fastener and/or torque) and from
vibration damage during the product's life cycle.
INSUFFICIENT TIGHTENING
Likely to cause leakage under seal and around fastener.
CORRECT INSTALLATION
Tight against surface, Seal flows inward to seal minor fastener diameter and
surface voids.
EXCESSIVE TORQUE
Causes reverse dishing. Leakage under the seal is possible.
