LionGUARD Uncured Flashing Grade EPDM stretches more for sealing irregular areas. EPDM Flashing Tape is used where pipes, stacks, vents or corners require a flexible flashing product to ensure no water infiltration into the roofing system. The LionGUARD Flashing Tape allows molding and slight stretching of the material to shape. It will then slowly cure permanently into the form it was fashioned. Use for field flashing corners, stacks, vents etc. LionGUARD brand Flashing Tape has a uncured EPDM cover face and a specially formulated peel/stick butyl rubber mastic adhesive. This peel and stick product has exceptional adhesion, long-term heat and chemical resistance and gives tape the ability to remain flexible in harsh conditions. Surpassing the industry standards for tack and shear strength products provide superior holding power for long life and high durability.

ADVANTAGES:

Always clean membrane with LionGUARD Tape primer prior to installation of tapes. Do not over overstretch. Not for use in horizontal seam repairs. Use for field flashing corners, stacks, vents etc.

INSTALLATION:

Always clean membrane with Splice Wash and Apply LionGUARD Tape primer prior to installation of tapes. Do not over over-stretch. EPDM Flashing Grade product is a peel and stick uncured flashing tape. It can be used with EPDM, TPO and most PVC roofing membranes. Each requires special primers to first be used. Installation Summary: Clean membrane. Prime membrane using EPDM primer. Allow primer to dry before installing tapes. Apply tape to primed area by peeling release paper off of 6 - 12 inches of tape. Stick the tape onto the membrane, while continuing to pull release paper off. Make sure you start on a straight line. Continue pulling release paper off as you move down the pre - primed area. Use sharp scissors for cutting the cover tape. Use a seam roller with some force, perpendicular to tape, to fuse sealant to surface. OPTIONAL: Apply M1 sealant to exposed edge of EPDM Flashing after installation.
