Rope
Comparison and Selection Guide.
Natural Fiber
Manila Rope:
3-Strand Manila Rope is the strongest natural fiber rope,
and a great general purpose rope.
Manila rope, a natural fiber (abaca), is low cost and offers
excellent abrasion resistance with
low-stretch. Because it's a natural fiber, however, it has poor chemical resistance and is subject to rot.
Manila rope ties easily and holds knots. Manila rope resists damage from
UV sunlight and won't melt. Store
dry to avoid rope becoming damp.
 Nylon Ropes:
We have a full selection of Nylon ropes.
Nylon rope has excellent abrasion resistance, doesn't rot, is resistant to many chemicals and has
good UV resistance.
Nylon ropes are good for hoisting and marine applications. Nylons
high strength allows a smaller size to be used.
3-Strand Twisted Nylon Ropes
consists of three
equally sized strands twisted together to produce a very durable, very strong rope which is flexible and absorbs shock.

Braided Nylon Ropes includes Double-Braid, Solid-Braid
and Diamond Braid Nylon Ropes.
High density and nylon fiber makes braided nylon extremely strong, with good
elasticity and memory under heavy loads. It's a good choice when strength, resistance to the elements, and continuous wear is important, such as for
hoisting, marine, winch or pulley rope, starter cord rope, tie downs and awning applications.
Solid braid has a smooth, even surface which knots well. It
does not unravel even when cut, but it cannot be spliced.
Ideal for blocks, pulleys, winches, mooring lines, general tie downs,
flagpole rope or a clothesline.

Poly-Dacron Combination Rope:
3-Strand
Twisted Poly-Dacron
Combination Ropes offer the advantages of
two fibers. The Poly-Dacron features a polyester fiber wrapped over
a Dacron (Polyolifin) core, then 3-twisted. The polypropylene - polyester
ropes are similarly constructed fibers.
These ropes meet ANSI and OSHA Standards for
fall protection rope. The twisted construction makes them strong, yet easy to splice. Poly-Dacron rope is made from high tensity polyester fiber wrapped
over polyolefin core yarns.
Poly-Dacron rope has excellent strength, low elongation, abrasion resistance and UV resistance.
Polyester Twisted Rope:
3-Strand Twisted Polyester Rope features a spiral construction that's strong, yet easy to splice and less prone to unwinding.
Popular for safety lifeline applications. We stock roofers polyester ropes with
snap-hooks and thimbles. Also, Polyester-Polypropylene combination
rope.
Polyester rope is very strong, but lower than Nylon Rope. Polyester rope has excellent abrasion resistance, resistant to rot and mildew
and excellent resistance to UV.
Polypropylene Twisted Rope:
Most popular, 3-Strand Twisted Polypropylene Rope is lightweight, strong, and a
great general purpose synthetic rope.
Its popular due to low cost.
Polypropylene rope is ideal for marine applications as it
floats and is not subject to mildew or rot. Polypropylene rope is somewhat difficult to tie
or hold knots. You can use a flame to melt ends when cutting to prevent unraveling.
General UV resistance is poor compared to others.
Polyester Composite
Double Braid Pulling Rope:
For heavy-duty pulling.
Composite Double-Braid Polyester Pulling Ropes / cable pulling ropes feature very high-tensity, low-stretch and
factory-spliced pulling eyes at each end. Stocked in popular sizes from 3/8 to 1-1/2 inch (5000 to 73,380 lb. break
strengths).
Cobalt Blue Polypropylene Rope:
High-Strength
Cobalt-Blue Polypropylene Rope is a premium grade, U.V. stabilized
blue polypropylene fiber, with Superior Abrasion Resistance and 40% Greater Strength.
Blue Poly rope is similar to Nylon, but its lightweight, floats, is rot proof, resists oil, water, gasoline and most chemicals.
This is the rope of choice by professional fishermen, trawlers and for abusive marine environments.
Flat
Woven Polyester Tape / Pulling Ropes:

Our
Woven Polyester Pulling and and Detectable Pulling Tapes
also called Mule Tape or wire Fish Line, features low stretch,
footage markings, pre-lubrication and tensile strengths up to 2500 PSI. The detectable versions have a solid detection wire for
ease of locations. These are professional grade products designed
for the telecommunications and power utilities industries to measure
lengths and pull all types of cable and wiring.
Battle and
Fighting Ropes:

Black Synthetic Battle Ropes,
also called Fighting Ropes, are used for various exercises and cross fit. Our black battle ropes are made with premium synthetic jackets for increased durability and its also soft on hands.
Ropes are constructed out of durable synthetic fibers with heat shrunk ends to to make them long lasting.
 GAC
Ropes:
We have a full selection of galvanized
and stainless steel aircraft cable Ropes.
The steel cable is made of galvanized steel aircraft
grade wire or stainless steel. It is recommended for use where high strength,
durability or a small size is required. Utility cable sizes are available from
1/32 to 3/16 inch. Cables of 6x19 to 6x36 are in available in sizes
from 3/16 to 4-3/8 inch and break strengths over 300,000 tons.
Options include Mining rope, Swaged Rope, Rotation resistance and
low Torque cable ropes. Email us your requirements and we will get
you a very competitive quote!
